The United Way of Hancock County has selected Ann Brossia as the adult Spotlight Volunteer and Kelly Krucki as the youth Spotlight Volunteer for the month of March.

Brossia was nominated by Linda Hamilton of Campfire USA. Her nomination indicated that even though she works full time she is an active volunteer in her community and church. She has provided leadership and direction to the Campfire organization as a board member for nearly 15 years. She has been treasurer, board president and chair of the finance committee. She has also been on the Absolutely Incredible Kid Day planning committee. She states, “volunteering helps defer costs and further causes of the organization. I also enjoy getting to know new people and staying in tune with the community.”

The youth Spotlight Volunteer is Kelly Krucki, a senior at Findlay High School. Krucki was nominated due to her involvement in St. Michael’s parish. She has volunteered for the Gus Macker tournament, the Balloon Fest, and the Halloween parade. Through her youth group at church she has participated in Make a Difference Day, visiting nursing homes and picking  up trash in the local parks. While volunteering in the community, Krucki maintains a high grade point average and has received numerous academic awards. Krucki states that she believes that volunteering helps her to be a good role model for her siblings and peers.
