Help with children’s programming; help set up room, crafts,
tear down and clean-up. Some
clerical work. Will need
helpers for summer reading program. Hope
House “Baby-sit” children
who live at Hope House while the mothers participate in meetings; keep
children safe and have fun. Dates
and times will vary. Open
Arms Domestic Violence Shelter and Rape Crisis Services Open Arms is always in
need of youth volunteers to come in and have structured play-time
activities with the residential children, under the supervision of the
Child Advocate. This gives
the mothers a break to make phone calls, catch up on chores, etc. Judson
Palmer Home Work one-on-one with
mature women either on weekdays or weekends, flexible hours.
Play cards and board games (bingo), talk with, accompany on
summer trips and sporting events (bowling, shopping, picnics), write
letters, and enjoy. Agency
on Aging Working at older
adults’ homes performing tasks such as leaf raking, gardening, lawn
mowing, gutter cleanup, etc. Hancock Park District Assist implanting, care
and maintenance of historic garden.
Reports for 1-2 hour work sessions on a monthly basis throughout
growing season. Agency
on Aging Assist in mailings, making copies, data entry, and help with bulletin boards. Black Swamp Area Council/Boy Scouts of
America Filing, copying, stuffing envelopes, and labeling. Possible computer input of advancement or training records. Campfire
Boys and Girls Fold flyers, filing, making copies, collating. Any time after school or daytime during the summer. United
